Derrick J. Dansereau
Director of Operations

Derrick received his bachelor’s degree from George Mason University.  He joined The Monitor Group in 1999 and manages various portions of the firm’s operations.

He supervises day-to-day portfolio activities including investment design, transfer, implementation, trading, quarterly reporting and billing. Derrick is a member of TMG’s Investment Committee and is responsible for managing the organization and preparation of portfolio research.  He also authors the firm’s quarterly investment commentary.

Derrick serves as the firm’s Director of Compliance, managing the firm’s SEC regulatory compliance program. In 2006, he managed an SEC examination to a successful conclusion for the firm. He also manages the firm’s fiduciary certification through CEFEX and manages the independent fiduciary audits associated with this registration.

Serving as the firm’s Director of Technology, Derrick manages multiple databases and the firm’s hardware network. He has led several IT initiatives including the conversion of the firm to a paperless system and the deployment of sophisticated portfolio management systems.

Derrick strategically participated in the development of several TMG related companies and currently manages all day-to-day functions of the firm’s subsidiary company TMG Investment Advisory Company. In past positions with the firm, Derrick has served in frontline client service and accounting roles.
